Terms of Use
Effective November 2, 2026
These terms cover your use of Now or Later, the todo list app, made by Tweeting Birds LLC (“we”). By using the app, you agree to them. They're written to be read, so please do.
The app is free
Now or Later is free to use. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no purchases.
Your lists are yours
You own everything you write in Now or Later. We don't claim any rights to it. If you use sync, you allow the sync service to store and send your board to your devices, only so that sync and backups work. The Privacy page explains how your lists are kept.
Using sync
- Keep your access token private. Anyone with your token can open and change your board.
- Don't try to open boards that aren't yours, overload the sync service, or use it to store anything other than your todo lists.
- Sync is offered as a convenience. We may change it, limit it, or stop offering it. When we can, we'll give notice in the app or on What's New first, so you have time to download a backup.
- We may turn off a token that's being misused.
Keep your own backups
We work to keep your lists safe, including nightly backups when sync is on, but we can't promise nothing will ever be lost. Your lists can disappear if your browser's website data is cleared, a device is lost, or something goes wrong with a service the app relies on. Use Download backup in Settings now and then to keep your own copy.
No warranty
Now or Later is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that it will always be available, be free of errors, or keep your data without loss.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, missed tasks, or lost time or profits, arising from your use of the app or the sync service. Because the app is free, our total liability for any claim about it is limited to US$0, or the lowest amount the law allows if that is higher.
Changes to the app and these terms
The app will change over time. We may also update these terms. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and note important changes in What's New. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
